Quito from 4,000 meters & the Middle of the World
By Conor
I´d like to start by saying I wasn´t impressed that I had to travel 4,000 miles to see liverpool live, and bloodywell loosing :( .... but we´ll soldier on.
The Jetlag is still affecting us to an extent, although it´s helping to rise early and catch the worms.
8.00 - Off to a cable car ride to 4,000 meters above sea level, the views were outstanding however the thinness of the air was a lot to content with, just a few steps and you felt out of breadth, of course we ventured way beyond out remit and preoceeded up the bloody mountain, well Sarah did, I followed reluctantly :)

2.00 - Then we went to the Middle of the World or Mitel del Mundo, the Equator to you and me.
We would have liked to explore a bit further however, we walked straight into a sand storm that turned into a rain storm, this place´s weather contrasts from over 30 degrees in the sun at noon to thunderstorms by teatime - mad.
So off back to Quito exhausted from our day to a nice cold beer with our names on it!
